十年海归创业路
嘉宾: 平凡, 朗盛投资创始人兼董事长，接力中国副理事长
2013年8月4号，朗盛投资创始人兼董事长，接力中国副理事长，平凡先生，作为上海交通大学波士顿地区校友会（MIT VentureShips club协办）第四期思源论坛的特约嘉宾，和大家一起分享了他十年海归的创业之路。
On Aug 4th, 2013, Shanghai Jiao Tong university alumni association of Great Boston Area (together with MIT VentrureShips club), had Lang Sheng investment founder, Relay China vice chairman Mr. Fan Ping sharing his 10 years startup experience on Siyuan Forum.
平凡先生早年留学英国，是中国第一位考入英国协和学院的学生，后获得曼彻斯特大学学士学位及清华大学EMBA。早在英国留学期间，平凡就有着自己创业的雄心壮志，并以独到的眼光对当时中国的二手车市场进行了分析，发现了商机。由于其父亲先完成学业而后创业的要求，这个计划没有得到实施。
Mr. Fan Ping was Concord College’s first Chinese student, has a bachelor degree from the University of Manchester, and registered in Tsinghua University EMBA program. When he was still in UK, Fan had his ambitious plan to create his own business: did analysis and found opportunity in Chinese used car market. But Fan’s father stopped his plan to force him focusing on study.
毕业以后，平凡就回到了中国，并且选择了离家远的上海来开创自己的事业。受到宜家模式的启发，平凡和朋友成立了家德福实业有限公司，进军家私行业。这一段创业，让平凡先生学习到很多物流方面的知识，同时也有了更好的成本意识。尽管没有在家具销售上有很多的盈利，但是这个开业在购物中心四楼的家私城却在很短的一段时间里给整购物中心带来了稳定的人气，从而通过转租店铺而赚了不少钱。
Fan went back to China after graduation, and selected Shanghai, which is further away from home, to start his own business. Following Ikea’s business mode, Fan founded Jiadefu Co, Ltd.with some friends. This start up experience gave Fan a good opportunity to build up supply chain knowledge and cost consciousness. No big income from furniture sells, but his furniture store attracted a lot of traffic to a lately build shopping mall. In return, Fan made money from leasing commercial area.
在母校协和学院向他寻求帮助的时候，平凡先生开始踏足教育行业，成立了教育机构来帮助协和控制中国招生的质量。后因和合伙人理念不一样，另外成立了朗盛教育，通过海外留学，短期游学，和地球村人项目，来帮助中国学生实现到英国和美国学习和交流的梦想。
通过协和学院在海湾地区的校友聚会机会，平凡先生增强了对海湾国家的了解，并成为了除温州商人，国企外派人员以外和海湾国家打交道的商人，并着手于帮助中国和海湾国家之间的贸易，并提供咨询服务。其主持的中阿论坛， 促进了中国和阿拉伯国家的政界， 商界的交流， 对中国和阿拉伯国家的发展有着重大意义。
Fan started his business in education, when Concord College asked him for help controlling the quality of students recruited from China. Due to business concept conflict, Fan left his first education institution and founded Lang Sheng education to help Chinese students finding education opportunities in UK and USA. Fan got to know Gulf States when he attended a Concord alumni reunion there. Since then, he started his consulting services for businesses between China and Gulf States. Fan also contributed a lot in China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, which benefits the political and business communication between China and Arab States.
在了解到接力中国是一个二代精英企业家组织之后，平凡先生成为了其一份子，参与到组织成员的互帮互助，并凭借着杰出的影响力在竞选中被选为副理事。
Fan had joined China Relay, a second generation lead entrepreneur organization, and been voted as the vice chairman because his significant contribution.
在长达一个半小时的演讲中，平凡先生介绍了回国以后的奋斗历程，并且分享了自己积累的各种经验。更加难能可贵的是，平凡先生邀请了5位和他一起来波士顿参加EMBA交流的企业家来和在场的听众互动，分享自己的经验看法，并对在场有创业想法的朋友给予有针对性的建议。现场气氛十分活跃，听众们积极提问，以至于超过预定时间半个多小时之后大家还不愿意离去。
作为70后的杰出代表，平凡先生回国的创业之路给予了参与论坛的朋友们很多借鉴。
In the one hour and half speech, Mr. Fan Ping shared his passion and experience. In the 2nd section, Fan had 5 of his EMBA classmates sharing their business experience, and giving professional suggestion to the audience who had start up plans. The activity was not ended half hour later than planned because both the speakers and audience were so passionate. As a leading entrepreneur born in the 70s, Mr. Fan Ping’s experience is very valuable.

About the speaker: Mr. Fan Ping is the founder and CEO of Lang Sheng Investment and Lang Sheng Education, director and VP of Liaoning Dade Group （大德集团）, a tier-one developer; he is also the vice chairman of Relay China （接力中国）, an organization of “second generation” of entrepreneurs. Lang Sheng Investment is a PE and family asset management firm that manages asset for family of Dade (大德）, Wanda （万达）, and Sir Yue-Kong Pao (船王包玉刚家族). Lang Sheng Investment also cooperates closely with Roland Berger in providing management consulting services and with the GCC big private firms in hosting the China-Arab States Economic and Trade Forum. He holds a bachelor degree form University of Manchester and EMBA from Tsinghua University.
